About New Horizons
New Horizons Church is a church for people on a new journey in life. You may be new to Canada, new to Winnipeg, or in a new season of life. We invite you to be our guest this coming Sunday as we explore what it means to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. New Horizons is a brand new church, affiliated with the Wesleyan Church of Canada (www.wesleyan.org). We exist to communicate the life-giving hope and holiness of Jesus Christ with families just like yours!
Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.
Justin has been involved in Christian ministry since 1997, and especially enjoys communicating God’s Word in an engaging and easy to understand way. He enjoys meeting people from around the world, learning new cultures and food! He is the proud father of 3 children, husband to Angie, and also a part time PhD student. Justin is an ordained minister with the Central Canada District of the Wesleyan Church.
Angie loves teaching “survival” English skills to newcomers, teaching others how to cook, and learning how to cook new dishes from international friends. She is passionate about serving recent immigrant families and advocating for them whenever possible. She has served in various Christian ministry positions since 1997, including Children’s Pastor, Community Ministries Director, and Christian Education Consultant. She loves her family, loves to laugh, and enjoys meeting new people and traveling to new places. She is an ordained minister with the Central Canada District of the Wesleyan Church.
